Vector Art - Poor Quality.
|
Topic: Image quality is jagged or appears to be poor quality.
Many programs provide a variety of import filters and settings. The main two are Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) PostScript Interpreted (PS, PRN, EPS) If you are using the first filter on EPS import (Encapsulated PostScript), only the header will be rendered in some programs. It will appear as a low resolution bitmap, but will print correctly to a PostScript printer.
If you are using the PostScript Interpreted filter, the EPS file will be generated as vector lines within the program and can be edited. Choose the PostScript Interpreted filter and the file will import correctly.

Error Importing EPS Files
|
Topic: You receive an error when importing an EPS file.
When an EPS file is imported and you receive an error, you have used the wrong import filter.
There are two EPS filters in most programs such as CorelDraw:
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) PostScript Interpreted (PS, PRN, EPS)
If you are using the first filter on EPS import (Encapsulated PostScript), you will most likely receive an error or only the header will be rendered.
If you are using the correct PostScript Interpreted filter, the EPS file will be imported as vector lines and can be edited.
If you are still having problems, check with the company of the product that you are importing images to for updated import filters for your software.
If the company that provides your graphics editing software does not have current import filters available you can work around this.
Open a industry standard software product such as CorelDraw, import, edit and export the vector image to a format that your software / hardware supports.
